have 2 upside down catfish need help

i have a 10 inch upside down catfish..definitely will outgrow the 10 gallon..what color is it..is it black in color. then its asian upside down catfish and grows to about 12 inches..thats the one i have..upgrade or give it back to the lfs buddy

Smartlove brings up a good point, cause that could also be the reason for the dying guppys. These fish can be quite aggressive. Mine would chase down feeders as eagerly as my lima shovelnose or bichir eels.

As for the true upsidedown catfish, synodontis nigrevenitis (spelling is wrong leave me be) Grows to 4" maximum, 3" more likely. But prefer to be in groups preferably 4-5. Given the want to be in groups and the size a 20 would be the absolute minimum, but for my money a 29 is the way to go. I think the only thing a ten gallon is good for is quarentine. The water changes so rapidly that its not good for the fish. But to each his own. Hopefully lupin will stop by i know he has had upsidedown cats in the past.
