Have L330's ever been bred?

have they ever been bred in home aquaria? was just curious because i haven't heard much about their breeding info.

ahahaha VERY FUNNY craig!!! but i was actually serious believe it or not :D now will someone please give me serious/reasonable answers :D
 
Panaque cochliodon was supposedly bred in 1999 (I think), there are no other documented reports with any royals. There is a fella on here who said his royals spawned, you've just reminded me about it actually.

so all royals are wild caught then? wonder what their eggs look like... wish i could see!!!

i saw the green phantom - L200's eggs on planetcatfish and they look gorgeous... bright yellow...like fluorescent...
 
I am trying to breed them.I have 5 in a 450 gallon tank with a ton of wood as they are very aggressive.Two seem to get along well?

I am pretty sure you would be the first...I would also have to agree with pretty much everything that Matt said.:popcorn:

They need caves i think for any pleco to breed or spawn..

I have never seen Royals spawn in the aquarium.. only case of exotic plecos that DID breed in aquarium are the small bristle nose, chocolate pleco, zebra pleco. There was also a case of L128 blue phantoms spawn in a german amazon public aquarium, and i also read up about Spiny leopard Cactus pleco spawn as well....

BTW.. I did find a L330 over the weekend.. and i think i might get it too.. best of luck on breeding them Neerva!
