i think it's a humerosa or orbignyi

At first I thought Castexi too.. with the dark picture and bright orange..

Now I am thinking Orbignyi or Humerosa as well.. touch the rays back.. is it smooth?

In that case almost certainly humerosa. Doesn't look anything like a castexi to me.

Humerosa and orbignyi look very similar and the best way to tell them apart is the texture of their skin - humerosas have rough skin while orbignyi have smooth skin. They are one of the smaller species of rays but still grow pretty large. I remember one member selling a female that was about 18" disc diameter. Generally pretty hardy rays in my experience.

whoever guessed anything other than humerosa or orbignyi needs to get an aqualog and study it hard lol

Nice ray, they are a good hardy starter ray.
