My dogs are fine with my tanks except the occasional bark if they see one of the bigger guys.

yeah get a main coon cat... they are too stupid to figure out how to get ontop of the tank. one of my cats sits on top and waches my fish. dog dosent know they are there, just somthing in the way of whomping on the cats... hmm maybe i should secure my tanks to the ground.

I think the biggest problem is making sure you have time to perform upkeep on the tank in between changing litter boxes and walking the dogs, Fish still need some attention too! Everything should be ok, That snakehead/ kitty pic rules!!!!!!!!!!!
