i just bought a Dell laptop few month ago.... so far so good... knock on wood.....bluedempsey said:
Go with with a Sony Vaio. When I accidentally busted mine, they sent a tech out the next day even though I was in a different state than where I purchased the warranty (direct from Sony), and fixed the problem, as Sony warranties accidental damge. Definitely recoup your costs. If it was a credit card, send the laptop back to them and do a chargeback on your card. If not, take them to small claims court, and file in your local court. I believe that the way it works is that if they don't show up, the decision automatically goes in your favor.
