See that's the way it is supposed to be done. That way no lying cheating or stealing to get your fish. If the sig. other is cranky, you can say, well it was your idea to get all of them..lol. :idea:
 
wow a lot of you guys had it ruff. my father and my brother had to set up 2 75g, 1 55g and a few smaller tanks, just because we all wanted different fish. never had a problem. the only rule i had was that i couldn't have anything poisonous. Now i can have anything i want. And i want a snakehead. So pissed that they are illegal now.
 
My wife is not really into fishes that much. She is more of a doggie person. She says all my fishes are ugly hahaha.
 
told my wife I'm building a 1000 gallon pond in my basement and growing some 4 ft redtails she said that I was scaring her and said thats where she draws the line on the relationship. If thats my only problem I think I;m in good shape

How does an rtc interfer with a relationship????? i say feed her the the 4ft rtc :grinyes:

thats the only thing i fear about gettting a girlfriend or wife.
 
Well, I guess my situation is a little different. I don't use a single cent in my paycheck to buy fish. All of my fish money is recycled money from other hobbies or from selling other fish. So I can buy anything I want as long as I'm paying for it myself with honny money.

But I have used little white lies here and there. Mostly when say I saw a fish in the LFS that I really want and usually it's a huge fish something that I cant take it on the bus home. Eventhough more than likely it will be there the next day or even wait until the weekend. I sometimes just want it in my tank so bad that as soon as I get home. I say "I SAW A FREAKIN' RARE ASS FISH FOR A GOOD ASS DEAL AND I NEED TO GO GET IT NOW!!" LOL! Pretty much works.
 
Back when I was young my mom was just happy that they weren't "creey crawlies", those had to stay in the garage. Snakes, spiders, centipedes, and scorpions were all banned from the house. All reptile egs were also banned until hatching due to an unfortunate clutch of lizard eggs that hatched out into copperheads.

one i thing i thing i didnt lie to my wife about is my plan to build a fish room
when i get a house. I guess you really cant hide that.
