Have you ever seen a SMB colored like this?

His whole back half is black on both sides. It is strange. I have never seen that after all these years catching them. He does seem like he lightens up back there at times though.

seems to be some sort of pigment disorder. maybe genetic?

Yeah, it could be a genetic thing. I thought maybe he was donning those colors for a reason.

He does have an odd shape too. He is shaped like a football.

Probably nerve damage to a specific dermatome. He can't control the pigment there.

my warmouth had this after being left alone for a week while i was on vacation. i think he got chomped but now he is almost back to normal so possibly an injury
