when i was 6 or 7 i was fishing with my dad, and we were sitting on a bridge a couple feet above a lake. i slipped off and couldnt swim so i wouldve drowned/gotten dragged into a partially submerged pipe that ended who-knows-where, but ge grabbed my hair just in time and pulled me out of the water. so, he saved my life.
I have had 2.. at least from what I can remember...
The first one was when I was in high school. I played softball. We were practicing, and the pitcher on my team was in the top 5 fastest pitchers in the state. Her pitches on average were like 90 mph. Needless to say... a pitch bounced off of my bat and hit me straight in the temple. I was passed out for like 20 minutes.
First was born with umbilical corn taughnt around my neck. Was blue as heck
Next, a few hours later, while I was in nursery a nurse going to feed another baby. She just happend to look down at me. I was dead. Cpr and a few minutes later all good. Turns out I got my moms pain meds through the cord. Rare!! I od'd.
Few months later, docs ignored my mom. She knew I was sick. Turns out I had pnuemonia. I passed out. They gave me an iv. A few hours later and I would have died.
In 9th grade I got severe burns. 2nd degree from the top of my head to the base of my neck and up my entire left wrist. I had 16mg of morphine and it didnt do squat. They gave me drugs to tube me and put me under. Yeah they forgot to give me the sleep drugs. 100% paralyzed but knew everything that was going on.. Sucked. Had to get a helicopter ride to childrens in dc and got 2 days in icu unconscious. 3 more days in hospitol and a month of scrubbing the burns everyday. That hurt!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have had my life flash before me quite a few times when breaking in young horses, they can do the most random things! I have fallen off and landed on my head a few times too.
I was shot in Iraq raiding a house, twice in the chest and once in the shoulder. The two in my chest hit the top of my sappy plate and went down next to my heart. I died in the helicopter but was brought back. I am thankful every day. Happened September 19th 2004. I can't be a soldier anymore but the retirement allowed me the opportunity to go to college, at 40, and get a degree in Graphic Design.
