yup thats what he means...not stick it in one of the hides and let him snuggle up....use it on the outside of the cage to reduce visual stress of passer byers....ya know...and my friend is have sort of the same problem...his savannah went after a few "larger crickets" today but never ate them pretty much just held on till they died now he wont eat...today is the second day...and he is on 6inches head to tail so give your nile some time he will come around just as my friends savannah probably will...ill tell you what i told him..."No need to fret...yet"
