Well both are not very suitable for pond, the indians are kind of cold hardy but both are tropical turts and all Podocnemis are very sensitive to temps bellow 20C. They are however ideal for heated green house tanks:D

Podocnemis vogli is like all podos a orputinistic omnivore. I would say its more carnivore than erytros because it often lives on temporary ponds were during the dry seazon there is plenty of dying fish to eat, wille erytros more or less have allways plenty of fallen fruit and plants in grabing distance:D They live in more jungly areas;)

I live in the tropics, I think they would be ok here.

Yes but dont assume they will be all rigth year round. With the indians I think you can:D With the podos is better to have both outdoor and more simple indoor facilitys for bad weader;) It´s that they really cant cope with cold.
