Wow, that´s pond looks really great. At Costa Rica you should be able to keep nearly every tropical fish in your outdoor ponds.

I've been pretty lucky with my fish, me being a super beginer and all. We've been in to the rainy season about 3 mongth now and ever since it started I've had alot of algae in my pond. I don't know if its because of my fish growing or because of something in the rain. I wonder if rain water affects the PH? In Hawaii do you have much fall out from the volcano's?

I live on Oahu which is one of the islands that makes up the hawaiian islands. The volcano activity is mostly on the big island which is a few islands down on the chain so here we don't get much.

I remember reading someplace that you can catch snakeheads on Oahu. So you might want to go to some of the fishing holes. Who knows, you might just catch one.

I live in Costa Rica and I have a 3,000 gallon pond with all native fish. I have Guapote or dovii and I'm trying to get a hold of some Peacock Bass. I'm just not a Koi man. I like the more natural stuff.

You warm climate guys are so lucky. I would love to be able to keep some monster cichlids and cats in my pond.
