no, my last memory of seeing them in the wild was when i was a kid
i know that in the late 80's there was only a handful left in the wild and they were all caught to breed in captivity. and i think in the early 90's they were reintroduced to the wild. i know there are still some in california but not sure if they are in socal. i think for sure they have some at san diego zoo that they are breeding
