I'm a little confused as to what is going on with my tank. As you can see from the pictures, the bottom half of the tank has a haze like somethings on the glass. I've tried wiping and scraping the inside and outside but its almost like its on the inside of the actual glass. Keep in mind, the tank was not like this when i purchased it and it has always been filled up. Has anyone ever had this problem before? If so, any recommended solutions would be very appreciated.

that's why I asked about the sun light, even though it doesn't look like algae. I get algae growth on my glass on a straight line like that during the winter where the light stops.

it's on all 4 panes? I was thinking it was just the front. you've got a bare bottom, can you tell if that's half or even fully hazy?

looks like silicate for me.
as in a mineral build-up? any thoughts on the fact it's only half tank on a fully filled tank?

I had something similar as i filled a tank of mine. The silicates did build up in a very similar matter. I think you noticed also that small bubbles form such lines too in a new tank. My guess is that when you fill it with a bucket for example you have different water levels during the filling process. There is always stuff swimming on the surface and sticks at the glass at that water level. Later that stuff helps the silicate crystals or bubbles to attach at the glass. That way you get those weird, yet perfect, lines on the glass.

I had this problem on my 210. Turned out to be from my hard water and every time I did a water change I would get the same line in my tank. The stuff wouldn't scrub off so I had to drain the tank and use a buffer with some hard water cleaner paste. There is a thread on here about using automotive wax. Could be hard water stain on yours but if you've never had the water that low then I could be wrong.
