HBG Arowana vs. Black Arawana

Hi Sir,
I believe a HB would work just fine with your tank, with the possible exception of the silver dollars. Blacks are very fragile compared to the other arowanas. HB are very hardy, and not as aggressive as their Green/Banjar counterparts.

HBG! Black aros look ugly when they get older. They lose their barbels and color and tail gets thin. No doubt about it the HBG will be king of the tank but should be ok with your fish

I'd also go with HBG
They don't seem to bother other tankmates much xexcept for same asian aro takmate.
I've also tried keeping asian aro with silver aro with no problem, so if your tank is big enough, you might want to try to keep HBG and Black together, just make sure the black is bigger

I personally would go with the HBG! But I actually have a 17" Black with my Kelberi, Azul, Orino, x2 Motoros, a Tig, and an IT Dat. The black doesnt mess with anyone nor do its tankmates.

i have a silver arowana about 16 inches with 2 Motoros, they were about 4 inch (Disk) when i got them and now they are 6 inches, did not have any incident at all, there is also a FH and a couple of Tinfoil barbs, the thing with arowana is that they are agressive sometimes to each other (same species) and to anything which can fit it its mouth, of course Asian arowanas are much more aggressive. I guess it may try to pick on the silver dollars but not the rest, what size HBG are you planning to buy?
