HDMI cable for HDTV....Is there a difference?

I would think the more expensive cables would include more features yet to be released, like the next video format. Reverse technology. Then again if you buy the cheap cables, they are easily replaced.
 
I have two HDMI cables in my house that are in use. One was over 100$ and one I got off ebay for 5$. I cannot tell the difference between the two. In an interview with one of the senior editors from CNET he said the biggest ripoff in all of the tech field were the "high end" expensive cables.

Same thing with Sand and rocks in your aquarium.
You can buy the expensive "FOR AQUARIUM" stuff or you can buy the cheep stuff (That is the same exact thing!)

I made the mistake of buying a $60 DVI cable (that was as big around as my thumb!) to replace the one that came with my monitor and I never saw a single difference in picture quality.

but wait, the expensive ones are all gold-plated. This way you can watch TV in your damp cave without worrying about corrosion!
 
To be truthfu I have both and I see no difference what so ever. And i am a big fan of Gold platted connection's/monster cable's. I guess it's just a matter of what's in your wallet?
