Finally. I’ve managed to get a pond back up.

I’ve had nothing short of a nightmare with the tank builder.
Seems to have vanished into think air with 2.5k of my money. No glass delivery, plenty of “ I’ll be here on Monday , then Wednesday, then Saturday. “And so on.

I’ve sourced another tank builder to compelete the new tank. Although, I’ve got to now find some
Extra cash in the next few weeks to keep everything on target. (Hopefully the rouge company refund my deposit which will
Eliminate this issue.)
Metal Frame is build and in place. Re decorated and new
Flooring in. (12 x 4 x 30” all
Glass tank)

What a crazy 12 months it’s been. Covid. The World in lock down, face masks to do
Your weekly shop. No work for almost 5 months, being self employed, no income for
All Of that time. Im
Glad things seem to be alittle normal again now.

The fire wood catfish will
Be the first home one the filtration is up and running. I believe he’s been nothing short of a nightmare for dazzapolypterusweeksii over the last 12 months. Thanks again daz.

The other cats will
Be moved into the 12’ (meg , pictus , fila ect) I may try the integrating the firewood at some point , providing his behaviour improves.

Just waiting on soem
Fixing for the easy pod and we are good to go. Few finishing touches to add around the frame work and lids in place.

Aggression. Pining fish against the side
Of the tank and causing damage.

Never had anything like that in the 6000 , oddly Dazs tank was 4x larger then mine and he’s become a devil. You’d think it would
Be the other way around.

I’m struggled to find any information on them
Being nasty. Saying that, it’s a big old lump of a fish these days. So maybe it’s as they mature. You don’t see many this size in captivity.

Regard the tank. I’ve never had any issues like this, although. They’re a lot of bad reviews coming out about the company on social Media.

Thanks for that, I hadn’t heard that either. I’ve been throwing around the idea of picking one up for my 10x4 build. Likely won’t due to their ability to outgrow the tank and NOW the attitude that you mention. Will likely stick to the smaller brachys and maybe an apurensis.

He’s somewhere around 4feet and 3years old. Roughly . Hit 38” within the first two years from 3”
