Didn't mean to cause you concern, all I meant by "trouble" was that you might have a very healthy aggresive eating arowana. By the way, I don't know how old he is, but he should grow out of that a little. When I implied that your fish might be a trouble maker, I was actually thinking of my own as well. But, he is growing and mellowing a little. Any time you have a fish that when its feeding time is so aggressive that he's leaping onto the floor, to me, thats trouble. I haven't actually had mine leap out of the tank but, I have had them come out of the water trying to get the food before it gets wet. Thats why I shared with you my remedy. If I'm going to feed him, and he's right there at the opening, I'll quickly add the food to the other end of the tank. I'm sorry I wasn't clear before

I thought thats what you might mean. And yes im getting a 150 in the next 10 days..... hes about 12 '' long now. Thank you for the re assurance

This fish could be trouble. What I like to do is open one lid at one end of the tank that I usually feed my fish on, and if my 16" arowana is there waiting (obviously hungry), I will do an end-around and quickly open the lid on the other end of the tank and put the food in there. By the time he gets to it, lid is closed.

This is exactly what i do too.. why chance it when you know someday sooner or later they will make a move that could cost them their life.. i always play it safe and mine is a very calm Arow..but you just never know when that moment is coming and the big change will take place.. they are unpredictable. I hope he is recovering now and back to eating well..but never trust them to behave.. they love to eat..

It sounds like everything will be fine. I would suggest feeding lightly until the bigger tank is ready. I was in a similar situation this time last year. I only fed them pellets for a few months and it was ok.

Good luck!
