A while ago I posted a thread asking for help with possible misidentification from the LFS - here is the thread for the back story.

Some time has past and the fish has done quite well

The video is about 1 minute in length, sorry for the crappy quality, I recorded it with my phone and the tank is in my basement with not so good lighting.

The fish really needs a better home, he is in a 55 gal and is just too big for it. I am doing 15 gal water changes 2-3 times a week just to try and keep him in some decent quality water.

I have offered to trade him to a couple of LFS but they "don't accept trades", I have a store that said bring it in and we'll take a look but the store is over an hour away and if they don't want it I am bringing it back with me.

I am really not looking for $ and am willing to give it to a fellow enthusiast - anyone in the greater Cleveland area who is willing to pick him up he is yours :D (feel free to PM me)

Any thoughts or suggestions on what else to do with him (BTW, not sure if it is a male).

Thanks in advance.

That's a really nice looking Amph. I love the fins/shape on that guy. Wish I could help, but unfortunately don't live in the Cleveland area. Best of luck re-homing him/her!

Did you try something fishy inc? The owner Dave is a good dude. Try them.
Pretty sure website is somethinfishyinc.net.

If you post a thread in the marketplace and label it properly as a free pickup, I suspect you'll find somebody. That's worked quite well for me in the past with animals I couldn't house.

damm to far away. I have space in the 175. perhaps take to your local LFS,

If the 2 options are keep him or trade him in to a LFS, I would keep him for now. Most LFS' do not even have 20 gallon tanks let alone 55's. He would have more space by himself in your 55 than he would in a cramped 125 gallon or solo 10 or 20 gallon. As said earlier, post a FREE ad on MFK and I assure you someone will take him. I see lots of MFK members from the Ohio area.

Damn he is a beast. It's shame you can't keep him. Looks like he has tons of personality. I'm sure you'll find a good home for him.
