Heads up regarding filaments with plants

One of my favorites. Mine ate a bunch of vals I was trying to grow. But like the pics above, its hard to beat their color.

I no longer have mine, but I have a group of 12 mascara barbs growing out, which are similar.

can you give us a comparison of the filament vs mascara since you owned both.

This Val plantation seems too have caused you a lot of hassle, who knew adding some plants would have such a snowball effect on the tank?

Lol. Yeah, I thought everything was settling down once i'd got to grips with that major nitrate issue, then my filaments go and add to my woes, but in truth, after what that guy said on you tube, I sort of expected something going south eventually.

But, I sorted my nitrate issue and now i've sorted my filament issue. This hobby's always throwing you a curve ball. Who said keeping fish was boring! Lol.

I haven't noticed much difference, I cant comment on the mascara barbs with plants. The tank they are in only has fake plants.

It's difficult enough just to get Filament Barbs in my area, let alone Mascara's. Post pics as things progress.
