House of Tropicals, Exotic Aquatics, Riverdale Pets, Ricks fish and Pets, Tropical fish World, Congressional Aquarium, Showcase Aquarium......All of these are in close proximity of DC and Baltimore

I've had nothing bad mostly bad experiences from Rick's Fish and Pet, unless I dealt strictly with the owner. They are way over priced and the staff (especiall a guy name Andrew) is usually ignorant and lacks knowledge. That is where I've learned my mistakes of fish buying.

If you any of you are near the Winchester, Va area, you have to check out Winchester Pet and Aquarium. They have unreal prices and awesome quality fish.

I officially boycotted them. The final straw was the other day I noticed they had a tank in the African section that read "Frontosa- $50". I was like "Wow, what a price" I looked and looked and all I could find was Kenyi and some other blue african cichlid. I have a colony I'm debating on getting rid of so I figured I would ask Andrew if he were interested. When his reply was "No, we have a tank full of them" and ignored me when I tried to tell him there were none left I just walked out. Can't stand them!

Yea, I got my black aro there. $220 wasn't a terrible price. Somethings like juvie pbass for $30-$40? The place in Winchester has juvie pbass for $12. "Teacup" stingrays which alternate between being motoro and retics on sale for $70 and Franklin Feed had them for $35 (which I bought 2 and are twice as healthy as the one I got from Ricks that died 3 weeks later)

No Dats,I actually asked about Dats and he said he hasnt had any in awhile, and hasnt seen them on his list of available fish in awhile either. But hey call em and at least put them on the lookout for you. Speak with George.
