Healing open wounds

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
The complication is the cichlid that died. As it with the ornate and who knows what did it in.

Would do prazipro and triple sulfa. Watch and see. Just my suggestion. Keep water to once a week. Monitor the water with use of any antibiotic daily.

Remove all decor till healed up.

Still looks like some sort of puncture/abrasion. I still see a bunch of sharp looking decor in the pics....

I removed all of the decor on the right side. There are still 3 rocks, 2 large plastic hideaways, a plastic and a silk plant. Take all of it out? What can I do for hidey holes? Thanks for being patient with me.

Can I leave the plants in?

Should take out the 3 rocks. Plants can stay.

It's my experience that polys don't need hidey holes.
he loves his log though. Hehe. Can I keep that in? Or recommendations for different things that I can put in the tank for him to "hide" in that he won't get scratched on?

Log can stay, guys watch for sharp objects like some of the rock decor you have, you dont wanna take out everything cause it can stress the fish.

okay. I took out the big plastic root. today. It had some sharp edges on it from where it was broken. That's the only thing I can think of. Kept everything else. Tested the rocks and plants, the rocks were all smooth. No pokeys on the plant.

The tank looks really bare right now. Also finally rehomed the pike. Benny is the only one in there right now.
