Healing scales...

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
My aro knocked a few scales loose once and he healed pretty quick (2 weeks) and was back to 100%. I have a clean, well filtrated aquarium that helped. Also i bumped the temp up 2 degrees . Keep him fed :) I did not add salt.. maybe i should have? I did use some stress coat.. but like i said he healed up pretty quick. Aros are soldiers!

no need to do anything why is everyones answer to everything add salt thats rubbish advice as long as your water is good then it will be fine

if a aro in the wild jumps and loses a scale no one will add salt to a river or lake

That's true. I just ad salt becuase I ad salt. I actually add less than what the box says. Should I stop with salt? I feel like its an extra cost, and extra annoying step in water changes. My stock is aro and dats

no need for salt i have only added it once on advice given but never again aros are not a brackish water fish

why do people ask for advice as 9 out of 10 reply will be add salt and turn up the temp its a waste of time and money in my eyes

Im going to have to agree. I will not add salt in my conifer water changes.
