Thats all peaches and cream but for a country whos sole economic survival depends on oil...once that is gone, everything else goes too.

The UAE knows this and that is why they have spent so much money making Dubai the incredible city it is today.

Actually, Dubai is in a bit of trouble. People are bailing left and right, their economy was hit hard too. Add the fact that just about everything was leveraged beyond belief there, it's a real mess. Last I read, the Saudies were going to bail them out.
Real estate has dropped some 8% in 3 months, a lot of the major construction has halted. The majority of their work force are foreigners, who have left the country. If you don't have work, you can't stay. Plus, they have debtors jail, so many people who lost their job are abandoning everything at airports and going home in fear of prison.
Their unemployment rate is something like 15%. If it stays at 15% they have to create 100 million jobs by 2020 to sustain it. Good luck!

A lot of people like to talk about how bad it is here (which isn't surprising, our economy is freakin huge), but many other places in the world are far worse off than we are.
