this is off the stories ive heard that market shrimp tails and shell with kill rtc, and arrowana. im glad to be proven wrong.

yea fish have no problem eating crays bass do it all the time in the wild thats y so many lures imitate crays. im guessing that the shell is primarily calcium or something like that so thats just a added nutrient for my bass, and im planning to get small crays for him. :D:D

yea and back to the post about the huge swords, they seem easy to breed but idk theres something about egg layers.... lol ill have a tank designated for live bearers, a well planted tank with fancy gups that ill sell to my lfs and my friend who wants to feed his needle fish fancy gups for some reason lol live bearers are cool, but their gestation period is more than 3 weeks, and the babies grow slowly, it starts to get worth it when u have tons of them, so ill proly stick to cons and ghost shrimp for breeding but thanks for the help!!!:drool:

Swords and Plats can be a good food source of feeders if breed right. There was a dude way back in the day that showed cichlids. He would have huge vats with the cichlids and thousands of swords in with them. The cichlids would eat just the babies and leave the adults for the most part. The swords were freakin huge! He won lots of awards. Some of witch were for the very swords that were the food.
thats awesome!!!
i use swords and whatever bread at the local fish store. ive used oscars, jds, GTs, red devils, angelfish, and of course convicts:D

Grats

Cons are really good breeders if i didnt love cichlids so much i would prolly go with them over guppies

lol nice chuck norris pic

i dont realy have a thing for cichlids yet i just see them as warm water sunnies at this point lol i might do cons, but im thinking about sticking to platies and giant danios seems straight forward enough
