There isnt much you can do to stop this unless you are the Manager of Wal-Mart. The best option is just to refuse this fish and educate potential buyers.
It is the end of smalltown America Economics. Family owned businesses can go to hell as long as each town has a big olde super center ready to sell you tainted chinese toys, pesticide infested food, and mutilated fish. But hey everyday low prices make it all worthwhile.
Dunno about you guys, but here in India, these sickening people sell Red Blood Parrots with fake lipstick and also get ur loved one's name tattooed on it! :O How gross is that??! :|

14bucks? i think they originate from fish farms here in singapore . they sell for approx 4-5 sgd . which is less than 3 us dollars . conversion rate is 1.7 i think . not too sure . They actually live as long as a normal parrot fish and since they are cut at a young age , their swimming is not affected , however they have larger pectoral fins to compensate for the lack of tail .
i noticed how they pectoral fins and dorsal seemed to "wrap" around and they were eating and swimming fine....but jeesh...............................crazy looking still
man i feel bad both for the fish and the people who buy it. you know wal mart isnt going to tell people how aggressive they are or the size they will reach.
