Koalas can be deceiving, they look all cute and fury and everything but their actually quite dangeours if provoked. Their nocturnal so generally just sleep during the day, rarely on the ground always up high in eucalyptus trees..
Its actually quite sad to see alot of people losing their homes and everything theyved lived for here in the fires recently and the animals were hit just as bad..
Beacon of hope ... a bewildered and badly burned koala named Sam is comforted by Country Fire Authority volunteer David Tree as he rescued her after deadly fires swept through the areas of Mirboo North / Reuters
Thirsty ... rescuer David gives Sam some water. The koala, who suffered second and third degree burns to her paws, was taken to Southern Ash Wildlife Shelter southeast of Melbourne / Reuters
Newcomer ... another koala named Bob is taken to Southern Ash Wildlife shelter after his paws were also scorched in the weekend's inferno / AP
Eskimo kiss ... David Tree is reunited with Sam the for the first time since her rescue. Koalas can identify people they know from their smell and Sam was at ease with David straight away / Stephen Harman

Thanks for this info.. even sadder to see these pics.. the one with the fire fighter will probably win an award....
i quess so ....but cute is an understatement...Liam;2823401; said:they weren't called koala bears for nothing.crazy mofos. sharp as claws, same with possums.
