It's been pretty mild and comfortable here tempswise but I know a high nineties heat streak is just around the corner.

We've actually been lucky this year. The real heat came late. A few hot days here and there, but the steady heat didn't get here till late May. Usually turn on the A/C in late April but this year I got an extra month with the low electric bill. Summer time brings me a high $300 to low $400 dollar bill.
Yeah I don't trust car thermometers either.
What state are you in?
Bout 8 or 9 years ago, in Rancho Cucamonga Ca, it was over 120 for a few days.
My restaurant had to shut down because the 6 AC units shut down from being too hot and the walk in freezer was thawing.
We shut down for a week, and none of the cigarette smokers could bear a smoke.
Here in riverside, last week it hit 115.

High 80's for the past few days here.....and nice and breezy at night,no need for a fan or AC so thats a plus as far as electrical use.
