I got a 1 kwh pond heater, a heater to keep the room temp up and a ton of styrofoam for insulaton

Just curious why didn't you build the structure over the hole first before you dug it out? It would have prevented it from being washed by the rain.

Is was easier to dig in the open. and i wish it just was the rain it is mostly ground water that keeps coming up as soon as a little rain falls. Even with the structure on top the hole was filling up.

Looks great. Can't wait to see more. Very intersested. I live in upstate ny and cried when my large cats had to be rehomed because they were to big for their tank. Maybe you can show me that i can succesfully keep them in a pond in upstate ny.....
