looks like a heater burn why dont you have a heater gaurd

Does not look like burn.
Do you have silica in your sand?

Well one of the problem, i cant find a good heater with a guard here, it was working fine since last one year never had a burn but last week one of the fish bumped it out of its clamps and was lying on the sand i guess thats what caused it, but i will be moving them to my bigger tank in a month with all equipmemt in the sump, should i use any treatment ?

The sand is there since one year with these fish , not sure it its silica, how do i check?

Can take a piece of PCV pipe, drill alot of holes in it and cover the heater with that. This protects the ray and still allows the heater to work.

If it has not wounded, scraped, the rays, it surely has no silica. Silica is very abrasive.

But Richard T1karman is much more experienced than i with rays.

Ill get the pvc in place tomorow, thanks sounds like a good idea never thought of that ;). But do i need to treat them with something i am worried it might get bad and infected.

Im not a big fan of chemicals. If it was me, Id just make sure you have good water quality (keep up good water changes), maybe add a little salt to the tank. But thats just me and what i would do. Some on here may not agree, so might see what everyone else says..
If you have the room and can do it, Id also take out some of your sand. Looks like it is kinda rough. Give the ray a bare bottom area (twice the size of the ray) to be able to go to and rest up. This will help the areas that are burned so they dont get scratched up any while its healing..
Also, if you dont want the white PVC, can get the grey stuff so it doesnt show up as much and stick out in your tank.

Sad, looks like heater burn to me , make sure you have lots of flow around the heater when you make your cover.
