You can also use the clear plastic tubes they sell at HD and Lowes for carrying around/protecting T12 fluorescent bulbs. They are the perfect size to fit most round heaters, come in 4' or 8' lengths (for multiple sleeves), and are easy to work with. Plus, since they're CLEAR, you can still see the heater, and whatever indicator lights might be on the heater.
