Heater for 100g ish aquarium

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I agree, using a few less powerful heaters may be better because it will spread the heat out more, but what is the temperature difference between the room temperature, and the temperature you want to keep the tank at?

Yeah, I usually suggest a pair of heaters, but I don't usually follow my own advice. Every time I go and see I can two Jagers 150 watt heaters for $84.90 each, $169.80 total. Or one 300 watt for $79.90. Yeah, nah, I'm getting the single heater.

Err, $89.90 for the 300 watt. Anyway, wattage really makes a negligible difference in the price.

Hey guys I opted to not get two smaller ones as I don't have enough outlets available. That was originally my first intention but this rooms currently maxed.

Thanks for the suggestions though, I would have probably opted for two fluval 100w.

Heated the tank up nicely to about 28, so I moved the red arrow to 28 (whatever its imperial equivalent is) and change the dial down to about 26.

So it should be correctly calibrated now.

thanks again!
