heater for 500 gallon

If 3 are good for a 500 would two 200w Stealths in a sump be enough for an acrylic 300 ?

Room temp will never be below 68° F.
 
I always thought it is more economical (at this size) to dish out for new/improved insulation in the room, and then to heat the whole room? Maybe have just one huge heater running in the sump as a backup and aid?
 
thamks for all the replys the tank stays warm enough in the summer but lately 74ish which is a bit to cool
60 bucks for 3 heaters is'nt a bad price maybe i'll try this thanks
1 heater would be easier but i think more expensive??
 
Hey Brent! Go on ebay. I got this one 800w heater tit. . for 80 bucks shipped.. along with another 300w it keep 500gallons of glass tank @86f check em out.. finex i think its called
