heater for a 210g

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
 Is the heater in the tank or in the sump? If in the tank, where is it placed & is it the only one? 210gl is a lot of water to be heated by a single 250w heater. At 4w or 5w per gl you need a total of 840w / 1050w to efficiently heat & maintain a set temp. (depending on avg. rm. temp.) I'm thinking (3) 300w in the tank (one in ea. corner & one ctr. of a 6' or 8' tank) or maybe placed in the sump to heat it before going to the main tank might work better. JMHO Good luck, "T"

any strong heaters out there?

I use two 250W Ebo-Jager heaters on my 220....My 7x2x2(200) went this route for about a year with no problems....Did I mention too, the 200 has no cover!!!!My temp maintained at a constant 82-84...
