I am in the process of setting up my 300 and was just wondering what heaters to put in there to keep the temp about 84. Looking for anything but marineland I've read too many bad things on them. I was thinking about 2 jäger

I have both, prefer jager. If the room temp is kept high enough two should be ok but im thinking you may want to add three to a tank that big wanting a high temp as you suggested. Have you thought about maybe a titanium heater with a controller?
yea i have thought about it but i wanted to some opinions because i never had anything but the marineland and i am not moving those into the new tank. not taking any chances
IMHO. jager is what i would use. I have several never had any problems. I had one of the old style green jager back when they were still Ebo Jager, I used this heater for about five years sold it to a friend who used it for three more then got it back for a year and then resold it to my sis who still has it. This heater is has been in use every day for 15 years and still keeping perfect temps.
I would use titanium, but Ebos are good as well. I suggest a controller for just about any setup.
I have two of these baby for my 300G. That's 1000W total.
