Heaters

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I've had bad problems with ebo jagr more so than Stealth. Went full marineland Stealth and haven't looked back. Ebo Jagr didn't even last a year.

^really?!?! wow... I've used them for years without issue. *knocking on wood*

sorry you had bad luck. I rarely ever hear of issues with Jager.

Could be just one bad ebo. May try out another ebo jager, my stealths are beginning to struggle, they've lasted about 7 years though heh

thats cool. I just picked up a stealth about 4 month ago. I hope I get half the life your getting... lol :D

I've heard rumors of Stealth having a lifetime warranty. I'm not sure if this is true, might be worth a phone call, if you can get them to answer. LOL

thats what i heard too ..but the phone call to them is really the pain from my behind , on hold for a long times without any help from customer service ,so i press 1 to leave a msg , 4days already no call back , :WHOA: so i think the heater is only 20$ they dont even care , ahhh dont matter never go with marineland product anymore .

I might just go with aqueon b/c I have 2 right now they seem fine. Also, it has a guard with it, so it will prevent shattering from the CA/SA fishes. In addition, it also has a lifetime warranty(as written on the box). Jager only has a 2/3 yr warranty(wish I hadn't purchased it online). Don't like what Ive heard about the stealth so far.

I have 2 stealths and 2 ebo-jagers. No problems with either. I like the color of the stealths; they aren't as noticeable.

I believe you are talking about the Stealth Heaters. there are many members who like these. I have had quite a fe problems with them. IMO, just stay with a quality brand and you should be fine. But 2 years is probably a good time frame on lifespan. Some longer, some not, there are a lot of variables.
I reccomend the stealth heaters highly:) I got 5 running right now.

Running 3 stealths right now (two 250's on my 150-gallon) and a single 250 on a 22-gallon, never had problems with them.

I have used a single 250-watt on a 45-gallon tank for almost 4-years before tearing the tank down.

I really miss the light on the heaters for some piece of mind, the only reason I have considered Jagers vers Stealths is for the light and quality.

I hear there NOT FULLY submersible so that keeps me away from them.

I always keep all my tanks filled ALL the way, not to hijack the thread, but is this true?? What is the deal with this?
