Heating on a 55 gallon

So the heater in my 55 gallon tank for jaguar fry is broken. I have a m300 fluval heater that heats up to 80 gallons. What temperature do you guys think I should keep it on to heat the tank to around 85 deg.

I believe the correct answer would be 85.

The heater will not overheat as its rated for 80 gallons?

get a quality brand heater. most heaters are made to turn off when its set at your desire temperature. for example, since you want it at 85. once the tank is at 85 the heater will automatically turn off then only turn only whenever its below 85.
