chill bottom feeder dont derail the thread with you worthless flame he rescued the fish as he said it couldnt turn around in its old tank now it in a tank that he can turn around in. back to topic good rescue btw and buying him his own tank good choice

I'm not flaming anyone. I commend him for rescuing the fish, I was just throwing it out there that he's gonna need to upgrade in the future. I totally understand the urge to rescue animals in need. Most of my animals are rescues.

I think everyone needs to carefully unbundle their panties and go back to talking about fish.

Thought I made it clear that I wasn't being critical... just letting the OP know what he's in for. I don't know why people thought I was attacking him...

NONE of your tanks are big enough for the Pacu. While I understand the urge to rescue doomed fish, unfortunetaly you pretty much moved the Pacu from one undersized tank to another

My mother in-laws tank was a long clarity plus hex tank with two 10" x 8" holes in the top. The tank itself was about 12" wide. Now the pacu is in a 48" x 18" x 24" by himself. How's that not better (besides the fight with the GG in my 150)????

I know about pacu--trust me. I took 4 other pacu, in the past, from my mother in-law and re-homed them.

I know you aren't trying to flame on me but you're preaching to the choir on this subject. Not to be mean but I've been keeping fish longer than you have been alive.

On a different note, The pacu is healing up well. I did a wc yesterday, added salt and a little melafix. The skin is healing up well.

That poor Pacu got destroyed. It's hard to even imagine how a Giant Gourami could get his teeth so close to the scales of the Pacu to do this much damage considering how fat their lips are.

Good lord. I think you need to have a sit down with your mother in law and let her know Pacu isn't the fish for her!!! Lol...
