acrylic can be heavy too!!... beleive it or not?!! 
had to hire a couple movers recently to move a tank out of a house, load into truck, and transport 90 miles.

SHEESE!! What size tank is that?!?!?!?! and it could be moved out from the door?
i think is the height of a tank decides whether it can fit through a door
if a tank is 4 feet wide, but 2 feet tall, it will fit through a door regardless of length.

Seriously though, ive done that.. i moved a 180 up a rinky dink 2nd floor apartment
with a small curved staircase. The stairs would creak and groan from the weight of the tank ! 4 guys ( myself included ) were almost in tears because the staircase was so narrow.

That tank was 10x4x30 (750g)... it was set up in the living room, so it was close to the front door. I picked up a 6x5x30 (560g) and a 6x4x30 (450g). Movers co$ted me a grip tho!!
