i have a 150 where the heckelli are the largest fish in the tank, I make sure I scatter pellets along the entire length of the tank when I feed. The heckelli tend to want to hog whatever they can, and by scattering it, the smaller fish have a better chance at getting their fair share .
The vertical striped one is Guianacara, probably Guianacara owruwefi, but sold as Guianaca geayi.
They are closely related to the Acarichthys, and Geophagus.
Do you mean the asfraci Ryan? These guys?
They are Tomocichla asfraci, endemic to the fast flowing waters of the Rio Guabo in Panama.
Ironic, I had a pump failure and lost all but 1.
I had picked up 10 half inch fry at the 2012 ACA convention, but at least half of them turned out to be mutants. They are very hard to get. Going to give my lone survivor to one of the guys in our local club who also picked them up, same time as I did, and hopefully he will breed them.
Sorry for the derail.
