My Loisellei swallowed a Pleco I thought he'd swallow it but after 2 days a tail is still sticking out his mouth. So I got a needlenose plier and pulled the rest of the Pleco out. I heard a big "rip" but oh well its either that or Loisellei dies too. They heal anyways
If you put a lil pressure on the sides of his jaws you can sort of make him do a fake yawn, @ that point you have the mouth open almost fully.
Take some needle-nose tweezers & fish it out.
How big is your Jag? If he's big enough to grab his lips while making him "yawn" you can get a lil more space.
Once the lips are extended you might have a better chance @ getting the con.
Think fishing when you take the hook out of the mouth or lip.
You may even need to cut the dorsal ray on the con to get it out, depending on how the con is situated in your jags mouth.

you need to take scissors and try to cut the convicts fins, mainly the dorsal. other than that i would recommend getting needle nose pliers and grab the convict, holding the jag gently but firmly in the other hand and twist as you pull out, sometimes it can cause the dorsal on the convict to lay over allowing you to slide it out. no matter how you look at it its not going to be fun
