My last male was 6" after almost a year. So I'm not sure what is normal. It's definitely slowed a bit after going into a community tank where he has to compete for food.

6.5" or so. The PVC in the background is the same from when he was tiny. Psycho killer so he's alone. Barely 6 months old.

One of those 5 gallon hex's. As long as he holds himself vertical it'll be fine, right?

I've got a 220 (6' X 2' X 2.5') empty right now, but I'm trying sell it and make something acrylic, in the 8' range. I've got at least a year, probably two before 15" comes around.
