Thanks for all the advice regarding food. I just wanted to inform you guys that my datnoids ate live ghost shrimp last night, and they also ate some market shrimp when i threw in little pieces today.

toss in some crushed pellets during feeding or.. feed them frozen bw and then crush some red pellets in there. sooner or later they'll eat the pellets.
Just give them frozen foods until they are around 5-6" and than starve them for a while. Than throw in the desired food. If no success, wait 2-3 days, soak the food in garlic juice and try again. Keep trying and trying and make sure the water quality is perfect
