i break hikari aro sticks in half, and 4 out of 5 started to eat it. the one that refuse the sticks got paper thin and died.
i tried to train them on pellets as early as possiable cuz i never had success with pellet-training for dats over 6" . my 7" indo that only eats live went without food (pellets and MP offered daily) for almost 2 months before i got scrared and feed it feeders.
i'd say pellet train right now while they are cheap, widely avaliable and before you get too attached the fish. my 2 cents
