Hello I am a fresh and brackish keeper and am sick of keeping peaceful fishes. i want a slat water hellion. It must be large, piscivorous, have a bad temper and a big mouth. any suggestions?

Sounds like your looking for a shark. haha In all seriousness, what size tank are you looking to house the "salt water hellion" in?

Lol well there are predators out there in the salt water arena. Maybe a dwarf lion or an angler fish. Or if you mean hyper aggressive I have heard dragon wrasses get angry. Damsels are helliones by nature. Even clown fish can be angry bastards.

Triggerfish and puffers come to mind as well. As a matter of fact there was just a thread about what happened tonsomeone when their alpha trigger fish passed.

In that size tank I would opt for a lion fish. Triggers get a bit too large for a 55 gallon, 75 is about as small as I would put one in. There are puffers you can put in there, but none of the large aggressive ones like the dogface or porcupine.

have you thought about getting a girlfriend, they are very close to your description

That staement is about as true as you can get. lol. i would say a snowflake eel might be ok in that size tank and most can get nasty

Snowflakes are the more peaceful eels, look at the wolf eels. Those things are MEAN. Some of the larger scorpionfish get somewhat cranky and they're fun to watch. I also like the lionfish idea; not the most hellacious but they look cool as hell.

Or you could just put some big honkin' damsels in there. :headbang2
