Miocene about 15 to 18 million years back,you were younger then. Love your avatar by the way, that guy is a pure feel and talant.

I have to drive about 15 miles if that, however it is in an area you gotta be carefull because of valley fever. So you dont want to huff too much top soil and try to just go right into the bone bed. 400,000 ppl in this area and tons use those hills for all kinds of recreation but the risk is still here if your diggin in it. ANyways, its fun, Ive learned a lot, and would love a chance to go to another town or state to see what I can find.
