I am new to MFK and I have to say I have enjoyed the plethora of information on the site.

Let me start by giving some of my fish history... My family has always had fish tanks but normally only had tropical schooling fish (flake chompers). When they got tired of their tank they let me have it. So I started out with a 40 gallon tank. So when I got my tank I immediately started off with what ever gilled freaks of nature I could find. I have put Oscars, jack dempsies, texas chiclids, and 2 pacus. After a power outage during a snow storm they all passed...

I ended up getting a fantastic deal on a 125 gallon tank for $189 so I jumped on the deal and have never turned back. Since I got this tank I have had 2 payara, a silver arowana, red tail barracuda, long fin senegal bichir, and a clown knife.

I officially have had 2 silver arowanas and I think I am going to give my current one away to ANYONE who wants him. My first awowana died from jumping out of the tank (he was small but in the 40gallon tank). Before he jumped to his doom he took the life of a pleco, and the red tail barracuda. To give my first arowana the most credit possible he was beat up when I bought him from the store. I thought if he was put in a nice size tank he would calm down. Sadly this was not the case at all. So I blindly bought another one from the local pet store and he has grown to his current size of about 18 inches. This new arowana has killed yet another pleco, and one of my payara...

I am not sure what to do I cannot find a way to calm him down. So I am trying to give him a home to anyone who may want him, or I will just give him to any pet store who wants him. It's either that or make him sushi. :WHOA:

Well anyways, it's great to be part of this community I am sure you all will hear plenty from me as time goes on.
