Hi Everyone. I happened upon this site while searching for some info online. My husband is the fish enthusiast but I have quickly learned to love them as well. We have a 75 gallon freshwater tank with 2 Parrots and 2 Jack Dempseys and a large Pleco and one African frog. We used to have piranhas but they are no longer with us.Looking forward to learning and sharing my fish experiences here.

oh no what happened.. my pacus were about that age when i lost them due to a short in a wire during power surge and tank exploded from heat.. one of my only terrible memories in fish keeping..

I believe that they developed a fungus which we treated the first time with Maracyn, they seemed to recover and then came down with it again and this time I could not bring them back. They started to attack each other and soon, one by one ,they died.My husband was devastated. I killed his fish! He did not blame me but I felt so awful! He had them for so long. So far,we have had great success with this new group of other fish in the tank. They are thriving and getting huge!

Thats a very sad situation that happened...and no one is too blame.. i know it must have been quite an ordeal when emotions run high... they were great beauties.. ... but on a happier note i am glad your new fish and new tank are doing so well.. i am looking forward to seeing their pics...so hurry... :D:D:D

After several unsuccessful attempts to upload photos to My Gallery I figured I would try to attach a photo or two in a post. If all goes well there should be a photo of my two parrots and my two jacks.
