hello. im new here and the only aquatic pet i have is a snapping turtle that is about 3 1/2 inches long. i joined up here because i will be getting a much larger set up and i may need advise and hopefully give some. right now i have her in a 55 gal tank but im looking at getting a 240 or 300 gal next year when she requires it. i know shes not a fish but this still seems like the place for me due to here eventual size. MONSTER

welcome to MFK... there are alot of us turtle lovers here on MFK... we have a whole forum in the forum for reptiles and other aquatic pets... you will get lots of info ...and plenty of pics.. what kind of snapper do you have... how big is he..did you raise it from a hatchling... i used to have one...northern .... i have two paints now... have any questions let me know...

He was about 9 inches across... i set up a pond outside for him for summer and somehow he excaped .. hopefully headed across the street for a huge pond ... i hope so anyway.. he was great... kept him in during winter in set up with lights etc.. i should have left it that way... most people reassured me he would adapt to the wild again.,...i had him since was a quarter size.. so it was sad...
