hello im new to this ive had my new tiger oscar for 2 days and anyinfo esp. about the proper temp would be nice

first and foremost welcome to MFK
For exact oscar info check into the cichlid forum.
For what I can tell you...78-82 degrees is good for an oscar, you need awesome filtration (very very good filtration is a must), a varied diet, plenty of room, and (my oppinion) dont use carbon, because its really not needed unless you are "cleaning" the water of meds or odor.
Tons of water changes are a must and a varied diet is worth another mention.
