I'm from Southern Ontario, Brampton to be more specific, I don't have any 'Monsters' but i do have a 150 gallon tank with - 1 oscar, 3 comets, 1 catfish, and had 3 plecos (one got half eaten by my oscar just today).

I am in the planning stages of building a 6000 gallon plywood tank, will start construction in about 3 years, will gather supplies from now until then...
I wanna house many native species

I find Oscars a type of Monster around here at least, there's so many ppl tht end up having Oscars that out grow their tank(s).
Mine's around 13" er so, had him for almost 2 yrs. He outgrew my 55gallon tank, so I found a 180gallon to house him. My Oscar's 1 of the best in my tank.

+1 for monsters canada

I would like to say this about monster keepers in canada. So far as I know one of the people who truly went monster is also a fellow canadian. His 50k and 13k gallon tanks prove it :headbang2.

So far as keeping monsters at present my biggest tank that is wet is a 8 ft 300g, though I know people who have bigger ones in regina and they have some pretty huge monsters.

Personally I rehomed my tsn, niger and the various pacu because I wanted to wait till I got my monster stuff going. Though I kept my 2 mated pairs of zebra tilapia because they have awesome personality.

Sup fellow Canuckle head... cichlids, african and ameican nothing but big predotor fish here in SK.. Midas 14inches Jds 10inches oscar 14inches...... I like the african better you can go 2 inches per gallon. two of the fish above would have to be in a 100 gal +
